Rajesh Dharmani, Minister for Urban Planning, Housing, Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, said today in Gram Panchayat Karloti that the primary objective of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is the welfare of the common people and the resolution of public problems. During the last two and a half years, the government has launched numerous welfare schemes to ensure that the benefits of government programs reach the lowest in society. Dharmani stated that Himachal Pradesh previously ranked 21st in the country in the field of quality education, but due to the government's tireless efforts, it has now reached third place. He said that the government is establishing model health institutions in each assembly constituency to provide better healthcare facilities. Six specialist doctors will be appointed in these institutions. Recently, 200 doctors have been appointed in the state, and the process of filling 200 more posts is underway. The Technical Education Minister stated that until now, only advanced courses related to agriculture and horticulture were available in the state. However, in response to the current needs, the state government has initiated courses related to agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry at the ITI level. This will not only connect the younger generation with modern farming and animal husbandry techniques, but will also help them obtain employment abroad. He urged the youth to become self-reliant by engaging in farming and animal husbandry. To promote natural farming, the state government has also established a support price for products produced by farmers. The support price for naturally grown wheat has been set at ₹60 per kilogram, maize at ₹40, and raw turmeric at ₹90 per kilogram. The government's objective is to connect youth and educated unemployed individuals with the agriculture-based economy and promote self-employment. Dharamni stated that the construction of the Link Road from Karloti to Sunali was completed at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh from the MLA fund, Rs. 2 lakh for the Link Road to Janeh, Rs. 2 lakh for the Link Road to Galian, Rs. 2.5 lakh for the Link Road to Khadri, Rs. 5 lakh for the Link Road to Mandal, and Rs. 2.5 lakh for the Link Road to Kharsai. Additionally, an additional Rs. 12 lakh has been allocated for the Link Road to Makru and Rs. 5 lakh for the Karloti to Sunali road. He stated that in recent years, 140 new transformers have been installed and 200 transformers have been repaired in the Ghumarwin Assembly constituency. Furthermore, a tender has been issued for the installation of a 33 kV transformer in Bamb, and approval for a 33 kV transformer in Ghumarwin has also been received.
