Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sarveen Chaudhary, today laid the foundation stone of Mahila Mandal Bhawan to be constructed at Tandog in Shahpur Assembly Constituency.

He said that the age limit for old age pension without income limit has been reduced from 70 to 60 years in this budget by the State Government. In the current tenure, the age limit of old age pension without income limit has been reduced from 80 to 60 years. Senior citizens of 60 years of age and above will be provided monthly old age pension of Rs 1700 from April, 2022. Under the scheme, 16 crore 45 lakh 48 thousand rupees were approved for the marriage of 5308 girls in the financial year 2021-22. Under the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojna, financial assistance of Rs 51000 is being provided for the marriage of such girls whose father has died or due to some serious illness is bedridden and unable to earn a livelihood. The family income should not exceed Rs 50,000. Under the scheme, 16 crore 10 lakh 22 thousand rupees were approved for the marriage of 3175 girls in the last financial year.

After this, he laid the foundation stone of Kut to Chamiyara road. He said that a 25 KVA transformer is being installed at Bhitlu at a cost of about Rs.6 lakh. Apart from this, a 1.5-kilometer-long single-phase LT line has been built in Jambli under Saubhagya scheme, on which about Rs 5 lakh has been spent.

During this he also listened to the problems of the people. Most of the problems were resolved on the spot and instructions were given to the concerned heads of departments to solve the remaining problems. He directed the officers to solve the problems of the people on priority basis.
