Indian jawans boosted morale on second day of two-day visit to Kinnaur district

Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited the forward outpost Shipkila-Pass on the second day of his two-day visit to Kinnaur district and inquired about the well-being of the soldiers of the Indian Army and the Indian Tibetan Border Police Force and boosted their morale. Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi was also present on the occasion.

Enhancing the morale of the Indian Army and Indian Tibbal Border Police, the Union Minister said that despite the lack of resources, our soldiers are guarding the country’s borders with promptness, due to which the people of India are safe. He said that today India is in the era of transformation, whose iron has been proved by India in the whole world and India is moving on the path of progress. He said that for India to move forward on the path of progress, it is also our responsibility to discharge our responsibilities properly.

The Union Minister said that there has been a tradition of sacrifice for the country in India and these brave soldiers of India are maintaining this tradition. He said that the borders of the country are as sacred as the clothes of the mother and our soldiers are maintaining the sanctity of the borders with dedication and readiness day and night.
After this, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was given a soulful farewell by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and District Administration Kinnaur from Gram Panchayat Pooh of the district.

Earlier last evening Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also inspected the lift drinking water irrigation scheme for Garden Colony Labrang and Pooh village. During this, he said that efforts will be made to make irrigation and drinking water supply sustainable.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur Torul S Ravish, Superintendent of Police Vivek Chahal, local public representatives and others were present.

In honor of Deputy Commissioner DC Rana transferred from Chamba district, a felicitation ceremony was organized today at Bachat Bhawan by the administrative officers and employees of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

In the felicitation ceremony, DC Rana said that transfer is a normal process for any officer-employee. He also said that his tenure in Chamba would be unforgettable.

Describing the positive cooperation received by team Chamba in the successful discharge of various departmental works, he said that the district is moving forward rapidly in terms of development.

Expressing hope, he said that more meaningful results will come in the coming time and Chamba will be established in the front line of development.

Mandi 10 April. Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla said that there is no greater godly work than service to humanity. Service is such a feeling that the one who does it gets happiness and the one who is served also gets happiness.

He said this during his visit to Divya Manav Jyoti Seva Trust at Dahar, Sundernagar in Mandi district today. Expressing happiness, he said that today this institution is working on the path shown by Swami Swatantanand Maharaj. He congratulated the office bearers of the trust for carrying forward the mission of Swamiji. He said that today this institute is doing the work of education and maintenance of 73 children in its own building. Financial assistance is also being provided to the eligible girls. He said that there are many children in the society who cannot complete their higher education and professional education due to lack of money. The trust is doing commendable work in this direction so that they can complete their education and their other needs, from fees to fees, are met.

The Governor said that the children of this institution are leaving their mark not only at the academic level but also in other activities. By performing well at the national level, they are bringing laurels to the state by receiving awards. He said that such institutions should be given more encouragement.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Trust Shri Satya Prakash Arya felicitated the Governor. Giving information about various activities of the trust, he said that the institute provides financial assistance to the eligible girls and this year this assistance was given to 132 girls amounting to Rs.6.16 lakh. The institute is also providing financial assistance to poor children for higher education.

On this occasion, yoga and other cultural programs were presented by the children of the institute.

Local MLA Mr. Rakesh Jamwal, Superintendent of Police Mr. Soumya Sambasivan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Nivedita Negi, other officers of the district administration and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

After this, the Governor also visited the Institute for Special Children being run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment at Sundernagar. He also honored two girl students of the institute who won medals in Para Olympics.

The Principal of the Institute, Smt. Neelam Lagwal welcomed the Governor and informed about the various facilities being provided by the Institute.

Shri Shukla also visited the Dialysis Unit operated in Sundernagar through District Red Cross and interacted with the patients undergoing treatment there.

The Governor also visited the Balh Valley Kalyan Sabha old age home at Bhangrotu. About 22 old people are living in the old age home. The Governor also presented assistance gratuities to 19 elderly people through the District Red Cross.

Senior head of the old age home, Dr. Rajneesh welcomed the Governor and gave detailed information about the old age home.

Earlier, the Governor was received by Sundernagar MLA Mr. Rakesh Jamwal, Superintendent of Police Soumya Sambasivan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Navedita on his arrival at Polytechnic College Ground Sundernagar .

Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi said that the present state government is constantly working to establish Himachal Pradesh at the highest peak of development with new thinking and new energy. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the gathering at Gram Panchayat Mangu in Arki assembly constituency last day after participating in the Dev Jatar organized by the Navayavak Jansudhar Sabha Mangu and Kurgan Land Loser Society.

On this occasion, he congratulated everyone on the birth anniversary of Kurgan Prakash (Mandodh) deity. He bowed before the Mandodh deities Dadla-Dwaru, Karada, Kolka and Mangu present in Dev Jatar and wished for the prosperity and health of the entire region and the people of the region.

The Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has decided to start 13 new schemes in his very first budget to provide good governance to the people of the state through system change. He said that as per the promise, in the first year itself, the state government has taken steps towards creating 90,000 employment opportunities in government and non-government sector. He said that the state government will not only fulfill all the guarantees but will work beyond the promises to benefit the common man.

Sanjay Awasthi assured to take up the issue of opening Primary Health Center in Mangu and starting classes in Commerce or Science stream in Government Senior Secondary School Mangu at appropriate level. He said that instructions will be given to the Public Works Department to complete the repair work of the link road from Mangu to Mandap.

He said that to solve the problem of drinking water in the area, the detailed project report of the new water supply scheme of Mangu and Sanghoi Gram Panchayat has been sent at the appropriate level.
