Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today visited Regional Horticulture Research and Training Center Mashobra near Shimla. While presiding over the dialogue program of farmers and scientists on the topic ‘Natural Farming-Safe Option’ organized by Horticulture and Forestry University, Nauni at the center, the Governor said that the farmers adopting natural farming today are not only increasing their income but also helping in increasing the gross production. are also helping.

This center has proved to be a milestone especially for apple production and allied industry. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mentioned and praised Himachal many times regarding natural farming and now it is our responsibility to fulfill his expectations.
On this occasion, Governor and Lady Governor Janki Shukla also planted saplings in the center premises.
Earlier, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Prof. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel welcomed the Governor. He said that for the first time in the country a special agricultural system of natural farming has been developed in coordination with farmers and scientists. He said that the present State Government has auctioned the liquor shops of the State, due to which 40 per cent increase in revenue has been registered.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the government has started Mukhyamantri Sukh-Ashray Yojana for 6000 orphan children of the state, so that the care of orphan children can be ensured by the government. Under the scheme, the state government will bear the entire cost of higher education of orphan children. Along with this, Rs 4000 will be given as pocket expenses and the government will also bear the expenses of their exposure visit once a year. He said that three biswas of land and financial assistance would also be given by the government to orphan children to build houses. The State Government is aware of the socio-economic condition of the needy people and is taking various steps to improve their lives so that they can lead a dignified life.
The Chief Minister said that loans at the rate of one percent are being provided to poor students for higher education so that no child is deprived of education due to lack of resources. He said that a provision has been made in the budget to provide financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to a single woman for building a house. The climate of district Una is favorable for the cultivation of dragon fruit. Destitute and wild animals do not eat it and the need for water is less. In the last two years, the district administration Una has encouraged the cultivation of dragon fruit under MNREGA, in which assistance of up to 1 lakh is given to the gardener.
Due to making trellis system at the beginning of dragon fruit cultivation, the cost is more as compared to other crops. Bank loan was not yet available for this. In order to bring dragon fruit cultivation under the ambit of bank loan, the district administration had sent a proposal to notify the scale of finance to the state government on March 7, in which a loan of Rs. The introduction was done. This proposal of the district administration has been approved by the state level technical committee.
Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma said that now the farmers of Una district can take loan from the bank at the rate of Rs 6 lakh 32 thousand 80 per acre for dragon fruit cultivation. He said that through Kisan Credit Card, loan up to Rs. 3 lakh is available at a concessional rate of interest of 4 percent. Loan above this will be available at normal rate of interest. He said that interested farmers/gardeners of district Una can avail loan facility from the bank for dragon fruit cultivation which was not available earlier. The Deputy Commissioner informed that the work of World Bank funded dragon fruit processing plant is going on at Behad Bitthal in district Una for which dragon fruit will be required. With the facility of bank loan, the cultivation of dragon fruit will be encouraged in the district and the gardeners will be benefited by cultivating it.

In such a situation, it has been decided to construct a ‘state of the art’ shooting range and a multipurpose hall for indoor boxing hall and other indoor sports.
He said that in this proposed shooting range, it is proposed to construct 10 meter, 25 and 50 meter shooting range, shooting range hall for final competition, indoor hall for boxing competition and stadium for other indoor games.
Vikramaditya Singh urged the Union Minister to give in-principle approval to this proposal so that along with appointing expert and experienced consultants for the development of sports infrastructure here, the process of preparing the estimate of the proposed shooting range could be started. He said that with the establishment of the shooting range, the youth of the state would be able to bring laurels to the state and the country at the national and international level by enhancing their talent in shooting.
